Each temple offers unique architectural charm and stunning surroundings that create the perfect backdrop for your special day. Whether documenting your joyful exit, intimate couple portraits, or celebrating with loved ones, I aim to preserve the heartfelt moments that make your wedding truly unforgettable. Here are a few of my favorites:
Salt Lake City Temple
The temple grounds boast lush gardens, elegant fountains, and stunning historic architecture. Seasonally refreshed flowerbeds provide vibrant colors throughout the year, complementing the iconic granite temple that serves as a timeless and majestic backdrop.
Note: The temple is currently closed for renovations and is expected to reopen in 2026.
Jordan River Temple
The expansive grounds feature meticulously manicured lawns, serene reflective pools, and vibrant flower gardens. The temple’s sleek, modern white exterior creates a striking contrast against the lush greenery.
Note: This temple is very popular and experiences heavy foot traffic. Plan your visit carefully to ensure optimal photography conditions.
Oquirrh Mountain Utah Temple
Located near a picturesque lake just a short distance away, this temple offers a stunning setting for photography. Its elevated location provides sweeping views of the surrounding valley, enhancing its serene and beautiful atmosphere.
Draper Temple
Situated on a hill in Draper, this temple provides breathtaking panoramic views of the Salt Lake Valley. The grounds are surrounded by natural landscapes and immaculately maintained gardens, making it an ideal setting for photography.
Note: The Draper Temple is known for frequent strong winds, which can make capturing the perfect shot more challenging.

Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should we book you as our Salt Lake City wedding photographer?
I suggest booking as early as 6-12 months in advance to secure your date. That said, if you’re working with a shorter timeline, don’t hesitate to reach out—I’d be happy to see if we can make it work!
Do you travel for weddings outside of Salt Lake City?
Yes, I do! Travel fees vary depending on the location and generally cover transportation and accommodations. I’d be happy to provide a personalized quote based on your wedding destination.
What happens if it rains or there’s bad weather on the wedding day?
I always come prepared with backup plans for unpredictable weather. Whether that means finding an indoor spot or waiting for a break in the clouds, we’ll make sure your photos are stunning no matter what. After all, the show must go on, and at the end of the day, you’re still marrying your best friend. I’m here to document every moment along the way.
How many photos can we expect in the final gallery?
You can expect 70+ photos per hour of coverage, depending on the flow of your day and the moments we capture. I don’t put a cap on images delivered.
What happens if we need to reschedule or cancel?
If you need to reschedule, I’ll do my best to accommodate your new date. For cancellations, the retainer fee is non-refundable, but I’m happy to work with you to find the best solution based on the situation.
How do you help camera-shy couples feel comfortable during sessions?
I understand not everyone feels comfortable in front of the camera, and that’s totally fine! My approach is relaxed and stress-free, focusing on natural poses and candid moments. By building trust and keeping things light, I help you feel confident and at ease. That’s why I recommend an engagement or bridal session before your Utah wedding—it helps you get comfortable with me and being in front of the camera, making the big day feel more natural and fun.
Do you edit all the photos in the final gallery?
Yes, every photo in your final gallery is carefully edited to meet my professional standards, including color correction, exposure adjustments, and retouching to enhance each image’s natural beauty. However, not every photo taken during your session will be included. I curate the best images—those that tell your story, capture key moments, and meet my quality standards. This ensures you receive a cohesive, polished gallery that truly reflects the essence of your day without unnecessary duplicates or outtakes.
