Boudoir Photography in Utah
You don’t need a “boudoir body” to book a boudoir session. You just need to want to see yourself the way I already see you. Most of my clients come to me for one of a few reasons: they’re in a self-love, empowerment kind of season and want photos that prove it. They’re getting married and want to surprise their partner with a gallery on the wedding day. They’re celebrating an anniversary. Or they’re pregnant and want to document their body in this exact, fleeting chapter. Whatever brought you here, this session is built around you, not a mold you have to fit into.

What To Expect For Your Boudoir Session
Your session runs 60 minutes, and we typically plan on shooting two outfits, with a third as a bonus if we’re moving efficiently. Most sessions happen in a studio, you’ll choose from my list of preferred studios, and that rental is already included in your session fee.
Before we ever get to the studio, I’ll send you a prep guide to walk you through everything: what to bring, how to think about outfits, what the day will actually feel like. I also send a Pinterest board full of outfit inspiration, because most people aren’t walking in feeling 100% confident about strutting around in a matching lingerie set, and that’s completely fine. A lot of clients choose an oversized button-down or a slip as one of their looks specifically because it shows less skin. Booking a boudoir session doesn’t mean you owe anyone exposure. You’re here to be seen, not exposed.
Once we’re shooting, every pose is an invitation, not an instruction. I’ll show you an idea, then give you a few ways to make it your own like adjust your hair, shift your weight, change your gaze. If something feels better than what I suggested, take it and run with it. Some clients want to lean into their sensual side; others want cute and soft and comfortable. Both are valid, and I’ll adjust with you the whole way through, giving small tweaks as we go.
The thing I hear most often afterward? Clients are shocked at how comfortable they felt throughout the session. That’s the whole goal.

Karisa did such an amazing job on the boudoir shoot. My pictures came out absolutely STUNNING! She made me feel super comfortable and at no point did I feel pressured into doing anything I didn’t want to. I love that she included color and black & white pictures in the gallery. If you’re considering booking… DO IT! It was such an unforgettable moment.

Meet Your Photographer
One thing you should know before your session: I’m not showing up in glam. I’m in workout clothes, ready to move: rearranging furniture in the studio, adjusting lighting, demonstrating poses with my own body so you see exactly what I’m picturing. Between setting the scene and hyping you up the whole time, I’m just as much a part of the action as you are.
That energy is the point; I’m not just tucked behind the camera. I’m right there with you, adjusting, encouraging, and celebrating every pose you nail. My goal is for you to feel so comfortable that the camera fades into the background, and if that means I’m a little out of breath by the end, that’s a good sign we did it right.

Karisa was amazing to work with! She did my first boudoir pictures. I was really nervous and am not very comfortable with my body. She made me feel confident and comfortable. I never thought I could feel ok in my underwear with someone I barely know, but I did! She was very chill and easy to work with. Also fast! Thank you Karisa!

Studio vs. Outdoor Boudoir
Almost all of my boudoir sessions happen in a studio, and for most clients, that’s genuinely the better call because we can enjoy privacy, controlled lighting, and a space that’s actually set up for boudoir, beds and all.
If you’re set on an outdoor session, I’m always happy to talk it through. It comes down to season, weather, and location, and there’s more logistics involved to pull it off well. So it’s not off the table, it’s just a conversation we’d need to have first. If it’s not the right fit, studio is always the way to go.
I haven’t done professional photos really at all so wasn’t sure how the results would turn out, but they were so much better than I could have imagined! Karisa has incredible vision and the photos she delivered were absolutely fantastic. Thank you Karisa!

Your Privacy Comes First
Your gallery is private by default. After your session, you’ll get a short questionnaire where you decide exactly what happens with your images and my portfolio: share everything, share a few, or keep it all just for you. I ask for your express permission before anything ever makes it into my portfolio, because I know how intimate these photos are. And just like consent, if it’s not an enthusiastic yes, it’s a no. I’ll always respect that.

Boudoir Photography Questions and Answers
Can I bring a friend?
Yes. One guest is welcome to come cheer you on. I just keep it to one so the space stays comfortable and the focus stays on you.
Are digital images included?
Yes, after your session I will edit the best images as color and black and white copies. All edited images will be available in your final gallery.
What should I expect during my session?
Most people arrive with a little nervous energy at first. Everyone has it, and it fades fast. I ask my clients to arrive a few minutes early so we can chat outside of the studio before our start time. I’ll walk you through all of your posing with clear, simple direction. By your second outfit, most clients have completely let go of whatever nerves they walked in with.
How do I prepare for my boudoir shoot?
Get some rest, stay hydrated, and don’t stress over outfits. I’ll send you a full prep guide plus a Pinterest board for inspiration once you book. Plan on two solid looks, with a third as a bonus option.
Is boudoir photography for everyone?
Yes! My sessions are designed for women & femme-presenting individuals. All ages, shapes, sizes, and comfort levels are welcome here.
What if I don’t want to show a lot of skin?
Totally normal, and more common than you’d think. A lot of clients bring an oversized button-down, a slip dress, or something with layers so we have flexibility to show more or less depending on how you’re feeling that day.
Do you offer professional hair and makeup?
Not as part of the session package, but I keep a list of HMUA artists (and a great spray tan recommendation) I love working with. That would be booked separately directly with them.
Where do you offer boudoir sessions?
I offer boudoir services throughout the Wasatch Front, including:
Salt Lake City • West Jordan • Sandy • South Jordan • Millcreek • Herriman • Taylorsville • Draper • Provo• Orem• Lehi • Spanish Fork • Pleasant Grove • American Fork • Saratoga Springs • Springville • Eagle Mountain • Payson • Layton • Bountiful • Syracuse • Clearfield • Kaysville • Farmington • And more
Will anyone see my photos without my permission?
No. Your gallery is private by default, and I’ll never share, post, or use an image without your explicit permission first.
I reached out to Karisa because I had an idea for a shoot and boy, did she deliver! Completely exceeded my expectations. She was so great at posing me, and finding perfect angles. We were at the location at sunset and the lighting was absolutely magical, and she captured that! I got my photos back and loved every single one! I can’t post all the ones we did, since we did a boudoir session, but she made me look and feel so good about myself! I highly recommend booking her for any of your photography needs. She is so talented and professional!
